We appreciate all of your support and patience as we embark on our new school year and fine tune our new arrival and dismissal procedures. Below are just a few reminders to help us keep our staff and students safe and allow our staff the time to answer your questions and help you get what you need. There will be signs on the front door to remind you of these procedures as they are new and need some time to become a habit.
Parents will NOT be allowed to enter the building during arrival times or dismissal times. That is from 8:50-9:05 and from 3:50-4:05. If you have a message for the office, please call 851-5100 and let us know. If you can write a note and send it in your child’s backpack, the teachers will get us the message.
All parents who are dropping off students will need to go to the BACK OF THE BUILDING to go through the parent drop off line. There are orange cones that will mark the beginning of the drop off. Please pull up as far as you can to meet these cones. This allows more cars to drop off at once. Make sure to have your students ready to get out of the car so that traffic doesn’t back up.
Parent Pick Up
Thank you to all the parents who were very patient and understanding while we tried to get your students out to you the first day. There were a few glitches that still need to be worked out. Please know that we are doing everything we can to get your students out to you as quickly as possible. If you could help your child(ren) learn their numbers, their last names and what your cars look like, this will also help get them out quickly. We thank you for your support! Also, please stay in your vehicles while waiting for your children, this helps staff get to know you and your number and helps them recognize who is waiting for their students.
If your student will be walking at any point this year, please get a permission slip that outlines the process for dismissing our students to walk home. This has changed from the past. Thank You!
NOTE: For the safety and security of all Harvest Ridge students, the office will NOT take phone calls/emails of changes in a student’s dismissal after 2:00 pm the day of the change.
